Frozen Flakes

Shot on one of the last days of winter here in Iceland. Lake Kleifarvatn was mostly iceless because of the sun has melted it away. This part of the lake closest to the mountain is still in a shadow during most of the day so it does not thaw as fast. Those ice formations are formed when wind pushes flakes of ice, that freeze in other parts of the lake during the night, into this shadowedpart of the lake. Here the freeze together forming these nice patterns.
