At the start of this month I was award a highly commended Astro Photographer of the Year award by the Royal Observatory in Greenwhich for one of my images from the 2010 Eyjafjallajökull eruption. Shooting Aurora and volcanic eruption at the same time had been a dream on mine of a long time. Surprisingly on the 24th of April while shooting the then much less active eruption the Aurora showed up.
Check out the award and the other stunning images at this year Astro Photographer of the year.
I am glad to get rewarded for all the efforts that went into photographing this volcano. Now I can wait for the next eruption to go off.
